How to create a public documents page

Public Document pages allow you to create a page for your listing transactions that can be viewed by anyone, via a link which you provide.  These pages can be linked from an MLS or other online listing and can contain disclosure documents, additional pictures, and other information which buyers may be interested in viewing before a purchase agreement is signed.  Providing a link to public documents will enhance your online listings while allowing you to track who is viewing the information on the public page.

Step 1:

Open the transaction that contains the document(s) that you wish to make public then click on the Documents tab.

Step 2:

Click on the Public Documents button.

Step 3:

Click on the Make Public button and enter a message to your public viewers (optional).

Step 4:

Once your document list appears, click on the visibility icons to choose which documents you wish to make public.  An icon with a clear eye will be public and one with an "X" over it will be hidden.

Step 5:

The link to your new public page will be displayed for you to see.  You can post this link anywhere that you wish potential viewers to see it.

Step 6:

You can also use the Add to My Web Site button to view HTML code that you can copy and paste into your own web page to link it directly to your public documents.

Users who visit the public documents page will be asked for their name and either their phone number or e-mail address, which will be logged in your transaction history so  that you can track who has viewed the page.

Note:  The public documents option is only available in transactions where you represent the listing side.
